Corridors & Common Areas
Common area refinishing in occupied buildings: corridors, doors, frames and shared spaces refreshed without closing off access.

NotePhotography is Pinnacle’s own work on this type of project. The written details below are drafts awaiting client confirmation.
The Challenge
Where we started.
Common areas cannot be shut down. Residents and staff use them every hour of the day, and corridor walls take more abuse than anything else in a building.
Scope
- Corridor wall repair, patching and repainting
- Door, frame and hardware refinishing
- Durable coatings selected for high-traffic surfaces
- Phased access so circulation routes stay open
- Daily clean-down and protection of finished flooring
The Solution
How we ran it.
Work runs in sections so one route stays open at all times, with protection installed and removed each day. Durable, scrubbable products are specified for corridor surfaces because a builder-grade finish will not survive the traffic.
Results
- Circulation routes open throughout the work
- Doors and frames refinished rather than patched around
- Durable finishes specified for high-traffic surfaces
